A product is only worth it if you actually use it. I don’t mind splurging when it comes to skincare, especially with active ingredients, but it only makes sense to invest those extra dollars if you can truly get your money’s worth. For me, while Skinceuticals C E Ferulic is a solid product, I can’t use it every day due to sensitivity. By the time I reach the second month of using it, it’s completely oxidized and loses its potency. That makes it feel like a waste. Plus, the lingering hot dog smell is something I just can’t get past; it stays on my skin ALL DAY LONG. This is also why I’m not a fan of Timeless Vitamin C, which oxidizes quickly for me too.
On the other hand, I discovered Maelove last year, and it’s become my go-to for Vitamin C. It's become one of my most reordered products. Because I have sensitive skin, I typically alternate between one month of glow pads and the next month of Vitamin C, continuing that rotation. Maelove is gentle enough for daily use while still delivering the brightening effects I seek. It layers beautifully under all my skincare products and makeup. If you struggle with hyperpigmentation or dull skin, this should definitely be a staple in your routine to help fade those spots. I’m not a chemist OR dermatologist but I truly think everyone should have Vitamin C in their routine.
