Not going to lie, I feel like Milk Makeup was the first primer I saw that used the term “hydrogrip” which completely sucked me in. And at first, I loved the idea of it. I was thrilled with how well it kept my makeup in place all day. However, the tackiness eventually became a bit too much for me. One small gust of wind, and my hair would be plastered to my face, which triggers some sort of phobia I never knew I had.
In search of a cheaper option, I also tried the Elf primers but found them similarly too sticky. After a few misses, I finally discovered the Covergirl TruBlend Sticky Grip Primer. Unlike the Milk primer, which sometimes felt like a sticky mess, the TruBlend offers a dewy, radiant finish. It hydrates my skin with aloe vera and hyaluronic acid, and it’s easy to apply, leaving my skin feeling smooth all day. It’s unscented, which is nice and it plays well with all different types of makeup. Truly a versatile queen👑
Honestly, the entire TruBlend line is impressive. Primers are such a personal choice, so while I enjoy the grip primers, you might want to explore their other options that cater to different needs like blurring or color correcting.
