This Not That: Kosas Soulgazer Gel Eyeliner

As I’ve gotten older, I still find eyeliner to be one of those products I struggle with applying, no matter how many YouTube tutorials I watch 👀Gel eyeliner is essential for me and my hooded eyes because it’s the easiest way to apply it without tugging on my lids. Pencil liners dry out too quickly for me to use effectively.

The Kosas eyeliners have been heavily promoted in my feed, so I decided to try the brown one. I’m not sure why these are so hyped. They are definitely not waterproof (as evidenced by my raccoon eyes) and didn’t glide on as smoothly as I hoped. Also, the smudge tool that comes with it just erased the eyeliner I had already applied.

I ordered a bunch of ColourPop liners, and they are fantastic, even for beginners like me. I love how smoothly they go on and that they don’t dry out quickly. I particularly love using Honeydude on my lower waterline and Sunnyvale on my upper lash line. Bonus points if you use a setting spray after applying, it really keeps it all in place 🙌🏻
